The Amanano Rural Bank Limited, located in Nyinahin, Atwima Mponua district, Ashanti Region, has formally opened its Abuakwa branch in Kumasi. The ceremony was brief but colourful.With this, the bank’s current total of branches operating is six. The branches are Afful Nkwanta, Nyinahin, Bibiani, Mbrom, Tafo, and the recently opened Abuakwa branch.In a speech, the bank’s chairman, Mr. Anthony Kwame Gyan, thanked the bank’s customers and shareholders for their unwavering support, saying that their actions have led to the bank’s current success and rapid expansion.

He said that the board of directors made the strategic choice to open a branch in Abuakwa. This is due to the fact that Abuakwa Township has a sizable population that includes many government employees and businesspeople, and it is connected to two of the nation’s largest cities.”Although there are many financial institutions in and around Abuakwa, we are ready to enter the market and offer innovative financial solutions,” he emphasised.He gave small business owners in and around Abuakwa advice on how to grow and expand their enterprises by utilising the bank’s presence as well as its products and services.

Nana Baffour Kyei Mensah, the Gyaasehene of Abuakwa, who cut the ribbon to formally open the branch, expressed her gratitude to the bank for choosing to locate one of its branches in the Abuakwa Community.He urged the bank’s managers and employees to keep up their hard work in order to improve their operational performance, citing his familiarity with the seriousness with which they approach their work.On behalf of Apex Bank’s Managing Director, Mr. Kwadwo Aye-Kusi, the Kumasi branch manager of ARB Apex Bank Limited, Mr. George Kweku Annor, congratulated the board and management of Amanano Rural Bank on their outstanding operational performance and steady growth over the years.

As a result, the Managing Director has instructed the bank’s management and employees to continue providing the superior customer service that has become synonymous with the rural banking sector.He also counselled the bank’s management and employees to uphold a maintenance culture in order to consistently keep the recently opened Abuakwa branch in excellent shape.Noble Christian Osei-Bonsu, the general manager of the bank, stated in an interview with Business & Financial Times that he and his management team will not give up on further streamlining their operations. It gave him great pride to announce the bank’s accomplishments.

He highlighted the bank’s notable positions and its membership in the prestigious Ghana Club 100 since its founding.The bank won two awards: the Bronze Award for Best Rural Bank in Advisory Services from the Ashanti Financial Services Excellence Awards, which are presented under the Manhyia Palace umbrella organisation, and the Most Innovative & Customer Friendly Rural Bank in Ghana from the West African Intra-communications Group, publishers of The New Ghanaian Magazine.
